We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative - Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at Redwood Logistics.

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for supporting our Mexico customers through daily operational duties, including coordinating carrier operations, managing capacity, and providing trailer details for traceability purposes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carrier Management: Accurately coordinate carrier operations to ensure daily capacity & status updates.
  • Capacity Coordination: Coordinate capacity to match customer needs amongst existing carrier base.
  • Trailer Details: Provide trailer details for traceability and documentation purposes.
  • TMS Operations: Record ongoing operations in TMS by creating loads/tenders and sending rate confirmation to carriers.
  • Status Updates: Provide customer with visibility and send updated status report.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate with key contacts (customer, broker, consignee) to promptly resolve any transportation constraints.
  • Loading Processes: Update load status in TMS and ensure accuracy of information (i.e. costs, rates, dates).
  • Business Development: Meet with carriers to explore and review business opportunities to optimize their capacity.
  • Audit & Compliance: Establish a cadence of revisions and agreements to ensure ongoing improvement.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure documentation is ready upon departure to avoid delays.
  • Documentation Coordination: Coordinate with broker for corresponding border crossing docs (DODA, entry).
  • Shipment Arrival: Ensure shipment arrival to border/warehouse with complete and correct documentation.
  • Delivery Scheduling: Coordinate delivery appointments with consignee and ensure timely delivery.
  • KPI Analysis: Update & analyze KPIs to identify opportunity areas and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support Network: Communicate effectively within Redwood network for any additional help needed.
  • Spot Capacity Quoting: Quote and source additional spot capacity when required.
  • Finance Support: Support finance and intercompany when needed in case of discrepancies for load rates or carriers assigned.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-oriented professional with ability to work autonomously.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of customer impact and profitability.
  • Educational Requirements: High School diploma required; BS/BA preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: English proficiency at least 80%.
  • Experience: Progressive experience in an operational role within the transportation/logistics industry.

Salary Information:

$45,000 - $65,000 per year
