Lead Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Application Support Specialist to join our Global Command Center (GCC) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support to our engineers, ensuring the highest standards of reliability, quality, and time-to-market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers to drive continual improvement and quality.
- Respond to incidents and escalations, providing leadership and communication to ensure timely resolution.
- Design, test, and implement solutions to address chronic and major issues, in partnership with product and IT Service Design teams.
- Continuously build and refresh technical skills in software development, AI/ML, automation, and cloud computing.
- Develop and maintain a keen eye on customer needs, driving innovation to continually improve.
- Collaborate with product engineering and service design teams to drive quality and ensure best practices are followed.
- Gather and analyze metrics to understand where quality exists and where support is needed.
- Support cross-functional process improvement across the service life cycle, from design, testing, and release to platform management.
- Provide a balanced view of feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives.
- Participate in major incident process, supporting resolution, post-incident reviews, and embedding learning.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in software development and/or experience supporting applications in the cloud. You should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a software engineering or related discipline. Additionally, you should have advanced English language skills and a strong understanding of technologies used to build and operate distributed application systems.
