Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, and job duty assignments.
- Ensuring a safe work environment, properly trained personnel, and addressing their needs to focus on their jobs.
- Adapting to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities.
- Tracking and monitoring sorting operations and driver dispatch.
**Requirements:**
- Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily.
- Ability to work in construction/distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for sort operations, manage a team to meet building goals.
- Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for associates and DSPs.
- Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
- Train and develop personnel.
- Implement Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Build bonds between stakeholders and peers.
- Monitor and audit plans for DSPs, including staffing, schedules, quality initiatives, and performance levels.
- Promote best practices and continuous process improvements across the team in areas like health and safety and productivity.
- Ensure on-the-road capacity for deliveries, including during peak business times.
- Pilot new service types on-site, such as electric vehicles and cargo bikes.
- Carry out performance reviews with DSPs.
- 2+ years of management experience in a delivery, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
- Management of a minimum of 30 employees, including payroll, performance management, and workflow assignment.
- Interest in long-term career development in Logistics & Transportation.
- Experience working and managing 3PL operations.
- Familiarity with the area and willingness to relocate.
