About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Technology Consultant to join our Enterprise Cloud Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining complex SAP landscapes, providing technical expertise and support, and ensuring high availability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests related to database administration and SAP technologies.
  2. Plan, set up, implement, and operate SAP technologies, achieving ambitious SLAs.
  3. Conceptualize, design, configure, and administer server landscapes with a focus on Linux Operating systems.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues that impact customer business.
  5. Manage daily operations to ensure high availability and proper documentation of technical operational concepts and guidelines.
  6. Coordinate with international teams in global projects, crisis handling, and de-escalation initiatives.

Requirements

  1. BE / BTech / MCA from a reputable institute.
  2. 7 to 9 years of work experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms.
  3. 5 to 7 years of work experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team primarily on any of the most commercial RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2 etc.).
  4. Exposure to automation tools, scripting, or processes.
  5. DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.
  6. DB concept on security, backup, and recovery strategies, system copies, high availability, and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, and replication.
  7. Organize/structure day-to-day documentation.
  8. Willingness to take on-call duty/weekend tasks.
  9. Basic knowledge of any Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  10. Experience working in an international environment, being able to work effectively with international and virtual teams.
  11. Capable in technical documentation and creation of knowledge-based assets (KBAs).
  12. Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge proactively and independently.
  13. Analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
  14. Exposure to the ITIL framework Preferred but not mandatory.
  15. Working knowledge in UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB, and Sybase ASE databases.
  16. Scripting experience - Any of Shell, Perl, Python, Go, or similar.
  17. Working experience in Virtualization (XEN, VMware).
  18. Experience with OS monitoring.
  19. Experience with at least one of the public cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform).
