About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Services Consultant to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in delivering technical expertise and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver and maintain complex SAP landscapes, providing technical guidance and support to ensure high availability.
  • Plan, set up, implement, and operate SAP technologies, achieving ambitious service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Conceptualize, design, configure, and administer server landscapes with a focus on Linux operating systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, app, and DB-related issues that impact the business.
  • Manage daily operations to ensure high availability and proper documentation of technical operational concepts and guidelines.
  • Coordinate with international teams in global projects, crisis handling, and de-escalation initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • 6-9 years of work experience in Linux administration, with a strong background in IT services.
  • Experience with network services like DNS, LDAP, Samba, sFTP, Sendmail, and Postfix.
  • Knowledge of at least one public cloud service provider (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Understanding of NFS, BlockDevice, Raid concepts, and scripting experience in Shell, Perl, Python, Go, or similar.
  • Working experience in Virtualization (XEN, VMware) and OS monitoring, backup/restore, configuration automation technologies (Chef).
  • Ability to work effectively in an international environment and with virtual teams.
  • Capable of creating technical documentation and knowledge-based assets (KBAs).
  • Ability to continuously acquire new knowledge proactively and independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge in one or more of the following products: Content Server, Convergent Charging, MDM, GK Software, OpenText, SAP Cloud Connector, TOMCAT, IIS, IDM, SCM Optimizer, SAP Mobile Platform, TREX, Business Connector.
  • Work experience as a Technical SAP NetWeaver Consultant (ABAP and Java Basis Administration).
  • Working knowledge in Business Object Products (BOBI, BODS, etc.) and UNIX/Linux environment, HANA DB, and Sybase ASE databases.
