Key Account Manager Job DescriptionRole Summary

Monster Energy is seeking a highly motivated Key Account Manager to manage the Monster business in Key Accounts (Walmart, Sam's, HEB, Soriana), along with the distributor, to ensure the achievement of sales, grow the energy drinks category, and maintain long-term relationships with accounts and maximize sales opportunities within them.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop business plans, strategies, and tactics to identify local market and category opportunities to maximize profitable sales.
  2. Ensure the achievement of sales volumes in Key Accounts (Walmart, Sam's, HEB, Soriana) and manage trade spend and P&L budget.
  3. Create initiatives that provide great customer shopping experiences through the correct demonstration, exhibition, and flawless execution of promotions and planogram (shelf space) of Monster products.
  4. Manage sales reporting against KPIs and develop promotional planning and evaluation.
  5. Develop and execute tactics and plans to exceed sales and profit expectations, coordinate and identify business opportunities by analyzing business indicators, and develop and coordinate POS implementation.
  6. Work with Marketing to leverage all marketing assets and leverage business relationships with key customers to act as category advisor in how to build and grow the energy drinks category.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in related positions in the food and beverages industry.
  2. Strong account management and relationship building skills, with experience managing major national accounts (Oxxo mainly).
  3. Highly self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communications skills and presentation skills effective across a broad range of audiences.
  4. Strong analytical skills, time management, and customer service skills, with a demonstrated appreciation for the value of attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  5. Team-oriented, with strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
  6. Expertise in the beverage industry (alc or non-alc) in retail channels, with experience building and executing trade programs and promotions, as well as POS and inventory reports.
