About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Team Lead to join our Amazon Business Development organization. As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals in recruiting new accounts to sell on Amazon and developing them to become successful sellers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a sales team to achieve sales targets and grow revenue.
  • Identify, qualify, acquire, and grow seller commitment to the Selling on Amazon program.
  • Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of sellers in your territory.
  • Develop a clear understanding of Amazon's products, features, and functionalities.
  • Engage with merchants to understand their needs and gauge fit with Amazon's product set.
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around Amazon's products.
  • Manage numerous opportunities concurrently and strategically.
  • Analyze customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of the assigned territory.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for the respective territory.
About the Team

Amazon Services' Business Development organization connects Amazon's technology to businesses worldwide. We are responsible for establishing new business partnerships with sellers who wish to utilize Amazon's suite of e-commerce solutions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies.
  • English and Spanish written and verbal skills.
  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as Account Management, Sales, Retail Buyer/Associate buyer, In-stock planner/allocator, Finance/analyst roles, Marketing/merchandising roles, Product management roles, or Project management roles.
  • At least 2 years of managing sales teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling nascent products/services into new markets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Work experience preferably in the e-commerce, online advertising, retail technology, or IT industries.
  • History of exceeding targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
