About the Role

This is a highly sought-after position as the top sales and marketing job in a full or limited service hotel, which may include meeting space and/or catering facilities. The successful candidate will manage professional level and administrative sales team members.

We are seeking a remarkable leader to join our team as Sales Director at Hotel Indigo La Paz, a captivating oasis where the desert meets the sea. Our beachfront resort in La Paz, Mexico, offers unparalleled service and breathtaking views perfect for vacations and destination weddings in the Baja.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage everyday activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers.
  • Team Development: Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues.
  • Training and Compliance: Train colleagues to ensure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect.
  • HR Support: Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed.
  • Culture and Environment: Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive - connect departments to create a sense of one team.
Financial Performance
  • Sales Goals: Hit all personal/team sales goals and maximise profitability.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Achieve budgeted revenues and participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget, marketing plan, and financial plans.
  • Sales Strategies: Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, and increase volume in food and beverage and banquet sales.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends.
Guest Experience
  • Guest Assistance: Help guests - you'll be happy to assist with any requests or complaints.
  • Information Provision: Provide guests with information to enhance their experience.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts to produce group and/or convention business.
  • Event Coordination: Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the hotel and coordinate with other hotel-level departments.
Responsible Business Practices
  • Local Awareness: Raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally.
  • Marketing Improvements: Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance.
  • Ad-Hoc Duties: Ad-hoc duties as needed.
