Revenue Management Senior Manager

Job Summary
As a Revenue Management Senior Manager at Marriott International, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue and profits for hotels in the market. This involves managing rooms and function space inventory, ensuring proper allocation and restriction, and building rates, packages, and hotel sales strategy information in inventory systems. You will also make pricing and positioning recommendations for market hotels, conduct analysis of revenue, profit, and demand associated with hotel rooms and space inventory, and contribute to forecasts, budgets, and weekly and daily projections.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage room authorizations, rates, and restrictions
- Manage function space authorizations, restrictions, and rental
- Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
- Maintain transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) and maximize transient revenue
- Release group rooms back into general inventory and ensure clean booking windows for customers
- Ensure hotel sales strategies are effectively implemented in reservation and inventory systems
- Prepare sales strategy critique
- Monitor transient and group inventory daily to ensure straight-line availability and maximization of revenue potential for all brands
- Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate
- Support cluster selling initiatives by working with all reservation centers
- Use reservations system and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies
- Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits
- Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests
- Ensure compliance and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels
- Ensure all hotels follow brand strategies to maintain and/or increase revenue per available room (RevPAR) and revenue per available square foot (RevPAS)
- Understand the working relationship between sales, reservations, and property management systems
- Participate in periodic regional reviews
- Promote and protect brand equity
- Achieve and exceed goals, including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
- Attend meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and manage activities and solutions
- Establish long-range objectives and specify strategies and actions to achieve them
- Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes
- Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders (owners, corporate, guests, etc.)
- Explore opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation; challenge existing processes/systems/products to make improvements
Requirements
- Education and experience in a relevant business discipline
- Knowledge of revenue management concepts, processes, and strategies
- Ability to analyze and summarize detailed data to make inferences and recommendations
- Knowledge of sales and marketing concepts, including principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
- Basic computer skills and ability to use computer systems and software packages to input, access, modify, store, or output information or to execute programs and analyses
- Economic principles and practices, P&L statements, operating budgets, forecasting, and scheduling
