Job Overview

About the Role

This position entails acting as a Subject Matter Expert to oversee all aspects related to Property Management within Ikano Retail, specifically for the Southeast Asia and Mexico regions. The primary goal is to ensure the smooth and effective functioning of our properties while meeting established standards and objectives. Key responsibilities include managing maintenance operations, strategic long-term planning, implementing innovative solutions, enhancing operational efficiency, leading climate transition initiatives, and collaborating with the Expansion team for new property developments.

Your Responsibilities

This role will be stationed in Mexico and will function as a Subject-Matter-Expert in Property Management within the designated region. We are looking for a seasoned, independent, and proficient Property Management Specialist to represent our team in various Property-related committees and working groups across the region.

Strategic Planning and Global Execution:

Establish and deliver annual objectives and key actions for the Asset & Property Management team globally. Spearhead and assist in the planning and execution of Climate Transition Plan initiatives in the region. Collaborate with stakeholders for the planning, financing, and execution of various Property & Sustainability initiatives.

Property Management and Innovation:

Ensure comprehensive property management with a focus on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Lead and coordinate Unit Facility Managers to guarantee the delivery of Property Management services. Propel the regional adoption of Property Management innovations and digital solutions.

Operational Excellence and Maintenance:

Promote operational excellence and maintain properties in optimal condition. Supervise forecasts, budgets, and long-term property plans across all locations. Collaborate with the Expansion team in the design and transition of new properties. Conduct annual property assessments and periodic audits to ensure compliance, efficiency, and quality. Drive country-specific regional frameworks and service agreements to enhance efficiency and cost management.

Communication and Reporting:

Ensure stakeholders are informed about Property frameworks, guidelines, and tools. Guarantee the timely delivery of Monthly KPIs Reports from each Unit and contribute to ongoing development.

Team Development and Support:

Support the Unit Facility Management team's competence, performance, resource management, and succession planning. Provide training and workshop assistance for Unit Facility Managers and stakeholders in the region.

Emergency Management and Cultural Integration:

Assist in crisis and emergency management, including contingency planning and mitigation strategies. Foster a culture that embraces diversity among co-workers and customers.

Ad-hoc Tasks and Project Management:

Manage exciting ad-hoc tasks and projects as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Your Profile

Academic degree or professional qualification in Real Estate, Asset Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field. Over 10 years of relevant experience in Property & Asset Management, Facility Management, Project Management, or Construction Engineering. More than 5 years of experience in Procurement and Contract/Vendor management. Proven track record in leading and managing multi-site projects in an international context. Strong knowledge of Property/FM management principles, practices, and business processes. Experience in sustainability aspects related to Real Estate/Property Management, including energy consumption, water usage, emissions, waste management, and chemical products. Proficiency in English and relevant local languages. High-level technical understanding and experience in all facets of commercial real estate buildings and associated equipment.
