We're seeking a highly skilled Industrial Channel Development Specialist to join our Industrial Measurements team in Latin America and the Caribbean. Based in Mexico City, Mexico, or Sao Paulo, Brazil, this role will be mainly hybrid, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
What's your role?
As an Industrial Channel Development Specialist, you'll play a crucial part in implementing market access strategies and plans to grow our brand footprint through our distribution network. You'll work closely with our distributor network at all levels, coaching and challenging them to operate systematically according to Vaisala's framework. This involves collaborating with product teams, inside sales, regional sales managers, and the partner manager for the Americas.
You'll be responsible for:
- Contributing to the execution and development of the business plan and strategies to grow overall sales through partners.
- Coordinating activities with the sales, marketing, and partners organization, including training plans, annual plan follow-up, recurrent business reviews, leads, and marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining compliance with Vaisala's partner management framework, ensuring all partners adhere to our distributor agreement, have an active contract, and are assigned a Vaisala champion, among other requirements.
- Generating reports for business and initiative performance reviews.
- Supporting the execution of distributor performance improvement programs.
- Working closely with partners to enhance their capabilities and engagement.
- Contributing to partner assessments and reviews to ensure they have a high level of distributor capability to serve Vaisala customers in their assigned territory.
- Collaborating with marketing, sales, customer service, technical support experts, product areas, and peers across the region.
- Active teaming with marketing and sales to achieve trade shows, seminars, and focused technical presentations/webinars with partners.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales and marketing activities in our CRM system.
- Supporting day-to-day activities related to partner administration and collaboration.
- Committing to continual personal improvement, advocating for sales enablement, and developing technical trainings, competencies, and commercial skills.
What will you bring?
We're looking for a candidate with:
- A Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in overseeing channel partnerships.
- Efficient presentation skills.
- The ability to craft and implement channel sales strategies to meet monthly sales quotas.
- Experience developing and maintaining partner and prospective partner relationships using CRM software.
- Negotiation skills to secure contracts and growth plans with current and prospective channel partners.
- Leadership and sales acumen to train and develop sales staff.
- Analytical skills to analyze Key Performance Indicators and determine the health of channel partner relationships.
- Ability to lead by influence.
- Experience in sales methodologies such as SPIN or Outcome-based selling.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
