Business Development Lead

Lhr Américas is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Lead to join our Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing activities related to sourcing, screening, analyzing, planning, and developing business ventures or portfolios of ventures. Your expertise will be crucial in providing high-level professional guidance in the development and management of new business ventures, handling proposals valued up to $500MM or larger, and leading a staff of 3 to 12 professionals towards pre-determined long-term objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the business development process through deal closure, including validation against proposal progress through stage gates, prioritizing business proposals against investment criteria, and offering commercial & technical solutions to make up the company's business offering.
- Work with investors to establish high-level strategic, financial, and operational goals and milestones for a new venture.
- Review investor proposals and approve contract payments and variations within authority limits.
- Act as a primary contact for contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure deal alignment and progression.
- Lead business portfolios and manage development of commercial agreements, providing analysis in reviewing legal documents.
- Manage negotiation strategy development and execution.
- Prepare reviews and present corporate committees and executive briefs.
- Provide administrative direction to Business Development staff, including job performance appraisals and relevant human resources development roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 12 years of experience.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CMA (Certified Management Accountant), PMP (Project Management Professional), or similar other skills/experience.
- Industry expertise and knowledge of specific business transaction and venturing activities.
