About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Manager to join our AWS Managed Services team. As a Cloud Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and management needs to our operations engineers, working hand-in-hand with senior stakeholders on opportunities to improve our operational practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute business priorities, including planning and documenting key projects and initiatives, and tracking progress against goals.
  • Develop and manage a high-performing team, including performance and career management, mentorship, and recruitment.
  • Drive operational excellence across the site and globe, identifying and owning local and global initiatives to optimize our customer-focused operational teams.
  • Be the voice of the customer, working with internal AWS resources to ensure customer SLAs are met, and raising internal awareness of customer-impacting bugs and issues.
About the Team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. Requirements
  • 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience in managed service providers, managing IT environments on behalf of customers.
  • Technical background and working knowledge of protocols (HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP) and cloud service offerings (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
