About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Manager to join our AWS Managed Services team. As a Cloud Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading our operations engineers and working closely with senior stakeholders to improve our operational practices.

You will work across customer organizations and multiple AWS teams to ensure customers receive exceptional service. Your core role will be to provide leadership and management needs to our operations engineers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to deliver high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute business priorities, including strategic goals for the team and planning/documentation of key projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational excellence across the site and globe, driving best practices and outcomes for our customers.
  • Recruit and hire top talent to join our team.
  • Be the voice of the customer, working with internal AWS resources to ensure customer SLAs are met and raising internal awareness of customer-impacting bugs and/or issues.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector. Requirements
  • 5+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience in Managed Service provider - managing IT environments on behalf of customers.
  • Technical background and working knowledge of protocols (HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP) and cloud service offerings (AWS, Azure, etc.).
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, within technical and business settings.
