About the Role

The Order and Billing Analyst - Americas will play a critical role in managing the tasks of reviewing, inputting, and invoicing customer orders for Teradata. This position will process hardware, software, subscription, education, professional services, and maintenance orders, utilizing the tools and processes designed for order management and maintaining compliance with all corporate policies involving order transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide backup to the manager while they are on leave, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
  2. Develop expertise in the Customer Order and Billing processes and serve as the lead person for training and knowledge sharing.
  3. Handle any escalation issues, providing timely and effective solutions to complex transactions.
  4. Execute the defined order process, interacting with sales teams while maintaining compliance with corporate policy.
  5. Generate customer invoices for assigned accounts accurately and in a timely manner, recognizing special invoicing provisions in customer contracts.
  6. Review customer order documentation for order acceptance, ensuring compliance with corporate order and revenue policies.
  7. Assist in the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable and collection issues.
  8. Read and analyze customer contract provisions impacting the order process and invoicing requirements.
  9. Ensure purchase orders are accurately reflected in the system.
  10. Learn and operate various software and systems used to process customer orders, including Oracle Order Management and Oracle Contract for Services.
  11. Create and maintain customer order jackets containing all required documentation.
  12. Process Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) within 5 business days of receiving requests.
  13. Solve issues involving order processing, providing outstanding order processing service to sales teams.
Requirements
  1. A Bachelor's Degree in business, accounting, procurement, or finance, or relevant work experience.
  2. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead problem-solving activity.
  3. The ability to manage stress without it negatively affecting work quality or professional demeanor.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, or the ability to learn and master these tools.
  5. Excellent organization skills and a high level of comfort handling details.
  6. Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, all order-related software and system tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Excellent work attendance records and habits.
  2. Ability to think creatively and adapt well to change.
  3. Ability to read, analyze, and understand customer contracts, corporate policies, and miscellaneous order documentation.
  4. Salesforce experience a plus, but not required.
  5. Oracle experience a plus, but not required.
  6. Must be bilingual with English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.
