Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Front Desk Agent to join our team at Marriott International, Inc.

This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional customer service.

About the Role

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. You will also process all payment types, including room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.

You will need to answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

In addition, you will coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in and communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors as needed.

You will supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.

You will also run daily reports, identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy.

Responsibilities
  1. Process all guest check-ins and check-outs, resolving any late and disputed charges.
  2. Answer and respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in and that guests have a smooth arrival experience.
  4. Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
  5. Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
  6. Run daily reports, including number of arrivals, departures, and special requests.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior work experience necessary, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and move around the property as needed.
Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $35,000 and $50,000, depending on location and experience.
