About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Delivery to lead our Commercial Engineering team in delivering world-class solutions. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction for delivery operations, including setting long-term goals, defining product delivery models, and identifying opportunities for growth or improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define Strategy: Establish the strategic direction for delivery operations, including setting long-term goals, defining product delivery models, and identifying opportunities for growth or improvement.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage teams responsible for the delivery of products or services, including hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Product Teams, understanding their needs, and ensuring that the delivery meets or exceeds their expectations.
  • Alignment with Business Objectives: Ensure that delivery strategies are aligned with the broader business objectives of the company.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve delivery processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and buy-in for delivery strategies.
  • Innovation: Encourage innovation in service delivery methods to stay competitive and meet changing market demands.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of delivery operations.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks to delivery timelines, budgets, or quality, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the budget for delivery operations, including forecasting, resource allocation, and cost control.

About You

We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, program management, or a related field. You should have:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, management, computer science, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree, such as an MBA, is a plus.
  • Experience: 10+ years' experience in project management, program management, or a related field, including experience in a leadership role overseeing large teams and complex projects.
  • Management Skills: Proven ability to manage and lead teams, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
  • Program / Project Management: Coordinate management of multiple projects, align & optimize resources, manage stakeholders, and ensure that projects contribute toward overall business goals.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in identifying problems, analyzing potential solutions, and making decisions that align with strategic goals.
  • Technical Skills: An understanding of software development life cycles and Agile methodology.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other industry-specific certifications can be advantageous.
