Your Role
We seek a skilled Expansion and Business Development Strategist to develop and execute the long-term vision and strategy for our expansion in Mexico. This pivotal role focuses on growing our brand presence, driving profitability, and identifying opportunities for growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute business plans and strategies to drive expansion and growth in Mexico.
- New Market Entry: Identify, negotiate, and secure new store locations across the country, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, distributors, and internal teams to drive business growth.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze financial, statistical, and economic data to assess business risks and inform strategic decisions.
- Store Openings: Lead all aspects of store openings, ensuring seamless project execution and on-time completion.
- Real Estate Acquisition: Identify potential locations for new store development, negotiate contracts, and manage our real estate portfolio.
- Lease Management: Review lease offers, negotiate terms, and work with landlords and brokers to meet space requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Evaluate retail real estate proposals related to new stores, relocations, expansions, and renewals.
Your Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years' experience in retail, holding senior manager/director roles in innovative organizations.
- Demonstrated skills in design and execution of business plans and strategies.
- Experience in dealing with Real Estate brokers, Landlords, and Shopping Mall developers, as well as general business issues on a Mexican-wide basis.
- Solid experience in Expansion management and strategy, preferably in the retail industry.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is a must.
What We Offer:
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
