We are looking for an experienced **Director of Sales & Marketing** to join our team at SLS Cancun.

In your role, reporting to the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring strategies are in place to drive revenue across all market segments to deliver strong top line revenue results as well as leading the on-property sales team. You'll embody the SLS brand, creating an indulgent wonderland that defines the unique SLS experience for both our guests and team.

SLS Cancun is a beachfront sanctuary featuring 45 suites, ocean views and world class decor. The vibrant private beach club is breathtaking. Guests can experience the poolside scene, indulge in the luxurious spa, and enjoy dining at internationally renowned restaurant, Leynia. Designed by Piero Lissoni, cool cabanas, a vibrant cocktail bar and canopied dining tables are some of the exquisite features that make SLS Cancun the perfect barefoot-chic tropical getaway.

**What you’ll do**
- Develop and implement strategic commercial plans, together with the General Manager & Director of Revenue, to source, drive and grow revenue across all segments, constantly monitoring results and adjusting strategies and activities to make sure objectives and targets are being met
- Manage and lead the sales team from recruitment and induction through to team development, encouraging a highly proactive and high performing environment that ultimately allows the team to deliver on objectives
- Ensure close working relationships with Ennismore regional and brand leads for Sales, Revenue and Brand as well as fostering strong working relationships with the wider Accor Global Sales Team.
- Provide local market knowledge that helps us stay ahead of the competition
- Collaborate with key teams (e.g., Hotel Operations, Brand, Revenue, Digital, Graphics & PR) ensuring key information and insights are shared and strong relationships are built to ensure everyone is effectively working together to drive top line revenue and deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Manage a portfolio of accounts, taking the lead on rate negotiations and account management activities whilst ensuring we maximize our market share
- And everything else in-between

**What we’re looking for**
- Someone with a passion and knowledge of the hospitality industry who has their finger on the pulse in Cancun and beyond
- Someone who understands, celebrates and embraces the SLS brand values
- A creative campaign thinker - from ideation to delivery who is capable of translating ideas and visions into the hotel operation
- University degree with emphasis in Sales and Marketing is strongly preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales role, preferably within a luxury and/or lifestyle brand
- Strong market knowledge of Cancun and the key feeder markets
- You’re passionate about hotel sales and goal driven
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and have a high-level attention to detail
- You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
