We are looking for an energetic sales professional with extensive experience selling analytical equipment and services into the Advanced Materials sector. This person must be a self starter and understand the value our products bring to the customers they interact with. Key among this persons’ attributes will be an unwavering set of buisness ethics. Malvern Panalytical operates under a strict code of buisness ethics and has a “Zero Tolerance Policy” as it pertains to these issues. Also of interest is experice with Key Account sales and managing Key Accounts.

- Work towards achieving targets and growing the business in the Mexico region (both industry and academia)
- Identify and analyze future market trends and improve current sales processes
- Conduct demonstrations, attend seminars and exhibitions
- Promote professional image of Malvern Panalytical.

What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Enjoy sales and the challenge of managing a sales territory
- An analytical mind and ability to feel energized from offering solutions for complex technical problems;
- Demonstrate knowledge of analytical systems for example X-ray fluorescence, X-ray diffraction, particle size and others.
- Valid driver’s license
- Fluent in Spanish and English, written and spoken combined with excellent communication skills

Great to have?
- BSc/MSc degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics or Materials Science
- Preferably experience of 5 years in sales and to be based in Mexico.
- Willingness to travel within Mexico and occasionally in other countries if necessary (e.g. United States, Latin America, The Netherlands and UK for training and meetings)

Main activities:

- Maintaining routine contact with existing customers to determine their needs/requirements through both face-to-face and telephone contact with the expected degree of professionalism.
- Analyzes customer/competition situations and generates specific plans that will achieve objectives.
- As required, preparing quotations and securing purchase orders. Maintain appropriate quotation documentation.
- Update Management on an ongoing basis on competitive activity and complete lost/won order reports as appropriate.
- Maintains a sales forecasting capability which will in the short-term make possible efficient scheduling, provide superior customer service, and control inventory and in the long-term, provide information for business planning, resource planning and budgeting.
- Closely interface with product specialists and engineers to promote a technical sales approach.
- Planning itinerary to best achieve objectives both on a daily and long-term basis.
- Report on activity on a weekly basis (and submit report together with expense report).
- Maintains an active reporting procedure in accordance with Departmental and company needs.
- Keeps records up to date in our CRM
- Supplying customers and other Malvern Panalytical employees with relevant information on products, including technical specifications, pricing, delivery, etc.
- Attend all seminars, exhibitions, shows and meetings as required and as per marketing/promotion plans.
- Attend training courses as appropriate to maintain high level of product knowledge.
- Strive to maintain active professional growth by participating in trade associations and attending appropriate seminars and classes.
- Keeps advised on company policies, procedures, and objectives, clarifying them with supervisor when and if questions arise, and is always prepared to accurately transmit these policies to our customers.
- Occasionally work on special projects as deemed necessary by the Sales and Marketing Team Leader. These projects may be in or outside of the territory.
