We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Leader to drive sales growth and success in the Mexican market.

With at least 5 years of managerial experience in sales or marketing, you will lead the regional sales team to achieve financial targets, innovate, and enhance customer satisfaction. Your role includes championing squad outcomes, collaborating with experts, coaching Territory Managers, and serving as the key point of contact for your team.

Responsibilities:
  • You will develop and implement sales plans, activities, and programs, guiding the day-to-day activities of the area sales team to execute our overall sales strategy.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals with distributors and key retailers, leveraging your negotiation and communication skills.
  • Prepare accurate rolling sales forecasts and budgets, monitoring sales volume, revenues, costs, and collections against forecasts to identify areas for improvement.
  • You will propose and evaluate new retailers and dealers in conjunction with the Controller or Business Analyst, selecting and assigning Sales Officers within budgeted resources.
  • Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for your assigned area.
  • Report on sales activities, including sales leads, customer feedback, and competitor information to inform Head of Sales and other functions about changing market conditions and customer demands.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the area sales team to ensure effective implementation of the Sales strategy and activities within established budgets and regulatory compliance.
  • Coach sales managers and promoters on technical aspects, marketing campaigns, sales promotions, sales techniques, procedures, and standards to help them reach their sales targets.

Requirements include:

  • Education: A university degree in agronomy or seeds is preferred.
  • Work Experience: At least 5 years of managerial responsibilities in sales or marketing.
  • A strong understanding of agriculture practices and industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical and creative thinking with sound business acumen.
  • Excellent leadership with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Moderate English skills are an advantage, and Spanish proficiency is required.
Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $135,000-$143,000 per year. Additionally, we offer a generous employee benefits package that includes competitive health insurance coverage, a company match for retirement savings accounts, paid time off, and various other perks.
