Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Service Representative to join our team. This role involves handling moderate to complex inquiries, addressing various types of policies and billing inquiries from internal or external customers, and resolving service concerns while documenting customer requests and completing changes to policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and field questions pertinent to existing insurance policies
- Determine appropriate course of action for customer inquiries
- Document specific details of call interactions, processing endorsements and Department of Motor Vehicle filings, answering billing questions, and taking payments
- Provide coverage information and explanations, answer complex billing questions, process policy changes accurately, and collect pertinent underwriting information to ensure correct premium assessment
- Resolve conflicts and empathize with customers
- Share feedback when training opportunities are identified
- Promote teamwork through consistency, reliability, and group cohesiveness
- Consider process improvements on a continuous basis and share opportunities with Leadership
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. You should also be customer-oriented, able to effectively trouble shoot and resolve customer questions and concerns, and adapt to new situations quickly.
Compensation
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
