Position Overview: The IT Application Support Specialist is integral in facilitating collaboration among diverse technology teams to ensure the effective integration of functions aimed at achieving organizational objectives. This role focuses on identifying system enhancements, analyzing existing logic, troubleshooting issues, and implementing effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of application support principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining systems scope and objectives for intricate application enhancements and issue resolution through comprehensive analysis.
  • Collaborating with various technology sectors and management teams to ensure functional integration that meets strategic goals.
  • Engaging closely with stakeholders to assess system impacts and support requirements.
  • Identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and security concerns, while proposing viable mitigation strategies.
  • Serving as a mentor to junior analysts, offering guidance and distributing workload effectively.
  • Influencing strategic decisions through expert advice and counsel.
  • Conducting thorough analyses to identify problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring complete support in adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in relevant technical tools and systems.

Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.

Additional Responsibilities: The IT Application Support Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining a robust IT Service Management (ITSM) support model, collaborating with application development teams, Production Management, and Infrastructure teams. This role necessitates expertise in Level 3 and Subject Matter Expert (SME) software platforms, along with a solid background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and scripting automation.

Core Duties Include:

  • Leading critical incident resolutions and managing change management initiatives.
  • Presenting tooling and platform remediation activities to relevant forums.
  • Implementing agile software engineering practices to foster a DevSecOps culture.
  • Designing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and technical specifications for IT support dashboards.
  • Establishing reliable mechanisms such as autoscaling, load balancing, and system resiliency.
  • Guiding technical teams in enforcing ITSM protocols.
  • Providing specialized insights for readiness assessments of new tooling capabilities.

Language Proficiency: Conversational English proficiency is required, along with experience in production support, application monitoring, and familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk. We value diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to consider this opportunity.
