Sales and Optical Communications Engineer for Enterprise Networks

Overview
Corning is seeking a Sales Engineer for Enterprise Networks to join our team in Mexico. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for maximizing sales of Corning Optical Communications (COC) products in your assigned Accounts in coordination with your fellow sales manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Achieve planned sales levels and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Conduct sales calls to implement account strategies and support COC business objectives.
- Build relationships with assigned Accounts and distributors in Mexico.
- Develop a deep knowledge of the Mexican EN telecom market.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding COC products and their applications.
- Act as a consultative problem solver for customers.
- Provide weekly activity reports and sales call reports.
- Maintain forecast information and coordinate activities with customer care representatives.
- Participate in industry events and product showcases.
- Continuously improve selling skills through training and feedback.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree, technical preferred (Telecommunications Engineering or related).
- Advanced degrees in other disciplines can be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of customers and commercial practices, at least 2-4 years of experience in commercial sales.
- Knowledge of Telecommunication networks (EN) and excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to travel within Mexico and internationally.
