About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Manager to lead our Biosimilars and Nephrology team in this vital role. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional plans to deliver successful treatments and meet sales goals.
  • Analyze sales performance and identify key levers for action, including healthcare developments and competitor activity.
  • Provide regular feedback to the business unit team on market changes and competitor activity.
  • Establish strong communication with the XF team to ensure effective brand performance.
  • Ensure execution of marketing and commercial tactics through development of territory plans with team members.
  • Update and maintain commercial programs to ensure competitiveness for Biosimilars products.
  • Prioritize key accounts and deliver results for relevant accounts.
  • Lead approved budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources and financial control.
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor team expenses budget to ensure budgetary control.
  • Supervise progress of marketing messages and programs through evolving adoption ladder in customer profiling.
  • Monitor implementation of plan of actions, travel needs, and support throughout sales cycles and ensure budget spend within agreed time, costs, compliance, and quality parameters.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and act on field force metrics and standards to increase sales force effectiveness from a quantitative and qualitative perspective.
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve/exceed territory goals and optimize individual and team engagement.
  • Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and capability assessment within the framework of Amgen's performance management process.
  • Develop individual team members to continuously improve overall level of performance in their role and for future talent development.
  • Support team members on external key customer visits as needed.
  • Take leadership in customer engagement strategies and personal external partner management.
Authority and Outputs
  • Budget spent within agreed parameters.
  • TAM's expenses.
  • Implementation of POA for region.
  • PSR recruitment/disciplinary procedures.
  • Agreed regional sales goals and other performance expectations.
  • Market dynamics feedback according to HCPs and key accounts input.
  • Administration and reporting requirements.
  • Compliance with Amgen policies and procedures.
  • Individual team member performance objectives.
  • MAP - appraisal and development plans.
Requirements
  • Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience in a similar position in an international environment OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a similar position in an international environment OR Associate's degree and 10 years of experience in a similar position in an international environment OR High school diploma/GED and 12 years of experience in a similar position in an international environment.
  • Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.
  • Very good solid understanding of English, both in oral and written communication.
Preferred Requirements
  • Strong XF networking.
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing roles (private and hospital market), leading a sales team.
  • Key account mapping and results accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in life science or (bio) medical sciences.
  • Relative experience in relevant therapy area.
  • Experience in interacting with various disciplines and organizational levels.
  • Experience in project management.
