Director of Category Management and Vendor Partnerships

Servicios Comerciales Amazon México S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a seasoned executive to lead our Vendor Management team as the Manager of Procurement and Vendor Relations. This is a critical role that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business growth, developing high-performing teams, and building strong relationships with external vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Business Leadership: Manage a full P&L, including planning, forecasting, and driving growth for the category, with a deep understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business.
- Strategic Direction: Set goals and strategic direction for the business, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
- Vendor Negotiations: Drive strategic negotiations with external vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Team Development: Hire, develop, and lead a team of Retail Vendor Managers, providing coaching and guidance to ensure their success.
- Business Improvements: Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvements, innovation, and scale within the category and across the Retail business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional collaboration on necessary systems and processes to support business needs, including retail systems, site merchandising, and in-stock.
- Industry Trends: Identify industry trends that are relevant to customer selection and experience.
- Marketing and Merchandising: Collaborate on Marketing and Merchandising initiatives to drive business growth.
- Customer and Vendor Programs: Innovate and implement new customer and vendor programs to enhance the shopping experience.
- Senior Executive Relationships: Represent Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top vendors and build long-term strategic relationships.

Requirements- 3+ years of team management experience
- 8+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience
- Experience with vendor negotiations, pricing, and promotion or inventory management
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience at a senior level in the fashion industry, ideally in an e-commerce, retail, key account management, or consulting role
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required, plus at least 10+ years of professional background
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
