Java L2 Support Specialist

Bounteous x Accolite is seeking a skilled Java L2 Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our customers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues, utilizing knowledge bases and collaborating with Level 1 resources as needed.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates and solutions within agreed turnaround times.
- Guide and respond to questions from Level 1 or Level 3 resources, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer.
- Reproduce reported issues in a lab environment to gather information and resolve problems.
- Document and prepare runbooks, ensuring accurate and comprehensive knowledge sharing.
- Monitor system components, identifying and suggesting additional monitoring tools and processes to maintain system health.
- Bachelor's degree (or local equivalent) and 1-3+ years of software development and production management experience required.
- Solid knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, with ability to monitor applications and verify logs to determine underlying issues.
- Strong understanding of Java, with ability to write simple code and identify bugs.
- Experience with SQL, working in one relational database required, with ability to understand and write SQL queries.
- Proven ability to problem solve in a development or production environment, including experience observing patterns, analyzing root cause, and proposing solutions.
- Good communication skills, with ability to articulate technical and functional aspects of a development/production problem to drive solutions with app dev teams and senior stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
- Experience in the Financial Service Industry a plus.
- Experience in Cluster Computing and Big Data solutions: Spark, Hadoop, HDSF, XRS using public cloud a plus.
- Degree in Computer Science a plus.
- Experience working with Kafka/MongoDB/Micro services based architecture a plus.
