Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Legal Department as a Legal Assistant to the General Counsel. This role will provide comprehensive support to the General Counsel, managing internal and external communications, drafting legal documents, and coordinating complex projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to the General Counsel, including managing communications, drafting documents, and maintaining confidential files.
  • Manage complex calendar management, coordinating a dynamic schedule with frequent changes and conflicts.
  • Support contract life cycle management, including drafting, review, negotiation, and quality control.
  • Perform contract management activities, including reception, verification, and follow-up of documents.
  • Support the updating and implementing of processes and practices to improve the legal team's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare agendas, attend meetings, and accurately record minutes, capturing key action items and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Manage various administrative tasks, including processing expense reports and handling payments.
  • Liaise with Procurement to process departmental requests for services and purchases.
  • Monitor and maintain departmental vehicles, ensuring timely maintenance and repairs.
  • Support the curation of agreements and document databases.
  • Manage and track a high volume of tasks and projects, ensuring timely follow-up and completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in law, administration, or related fields.
  • At least five years of experience as an Executive Assistant to a managing partner or partner of a large law firm or in similar roles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven competencies in proactive, communication, problem-solving, achievement orientation, flexibility/adaptability, teamwork, time management, and collaboration.
