Demand and Order Analyst

Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Demand and Order Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain and Logistics department, you will play a critical role in supporting customer inquiries and ensuring the successful receipt of orders by our order system.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and control new sales orders, identifying key elements and communicating downstream for required actions.
- Audit order change requests from customers, evaluating acceptance from a material, production plan, technical, and logistics perspective.
- Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries, providing feedback on lead time, planned timeline, order change, order reschedules, etc.
- Collaborate with the operations team to align production plans, customer orders, and customer priorities.
- Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from various stakeholders and sources in an objective manner.
- Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short-term), tactical (1-year), and strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems.
- Demand Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of Demand Management; ability to effectively sense, predict, plan for, and manage the demand for products and services.
- Forecasting: Knowledge of forecasting tools, approaches, and practices; ability to determine product demand and estimate production requirements and loads.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and synthesize data from various sources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively transmit and receive ideas and information.
- Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes.
- Ability to contribute to operational, tactical, and strategic planning in support of the overall business plan.
- Experience with demand management and forecasting tools and practices.
