About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Global Benefits Strategist to join our LATAM Benefits team at Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. in Mexico City, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Benefit Management and Design: Develop and implement country benefit plans that align with Amazon's Global Benefits Strategy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and market practices.
  • Implementation: Oversee the implementation of approved benefit programs, including vendor selection, project planning, resource allocation, and process development.
  • Governance: Ensure benefit programs align with Amazon's benefit philosophy and meet local regulatory requirements, monitoring costs, financial impact, and competitiveness.
  • Expansion Program Management: Serve as a subject matter expert for expansion activities, setting up new entities, benefits, and implementing global programs.
  • Consulting: Provide strategic guidance to International Compensation and Benefits, local HR, payroll, and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery of benefit programs and initiatives.
  • Communication and Influence: Communicate the value of benefit programs and provide recommendations for design changes to enhance employee quality of life, influencing stakeholders to secure buy-in and approvals.
  • Vendor Management: Recommend vendor performance standards, monitor performance issues, and ensure resolutions.

Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in global benefits development, administration, and governance, with a focus on employee benefit plans design, implementation, and management.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large-scale global employee benefit plans, excellent communication skills, ability to interface with all levels of the organization, and strong organizational skills.
