About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center Analyst to join our IT Core Connectivity team at Alcon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of infrastructure-related services with internal standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary contact for infrastructure-related services, ensuring alignment with internal standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various teams to maintain service quality, security, and compliance.
  • Participate in service reviews, continual improvement, and change management sessions.
  • Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the data center, LAN, WAN, Voice & Video, and Public Cloud infrastructure, focusing on resiliency and security.
Day-to-Day Activities
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments are required.
  • Process ISP maintenance schedules and coordinate with ISP/Vendors for quick restoration of network.
  • Design, implement, and maintain computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks, and Data Center connectivity.
  • Work on Voice/Video issues.
  • Basic Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and its troubleshooting.
  • Install and configure network equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing following the Alcon Security and compliance environment.
  • Conduct regular network audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network systems with other infrastructure components, such as servers, storage, and applications.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and other IT staff.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network issues.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements to the network infrastructure.
  • Designing, configuring, and testing networking hardware, and operating systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or IT.
  • 1-2 years of experience of monitoring, and troubleshooting network devices including WLAN, LAN switching, Routers, SDWAN devices, Voice /Video, Cloud Operation.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to work at the Alcon Network Operations Center.
  • Service Now experience handling tickets.
  • Demonstrated experience working in ITIL environments.
  • Good understanding of network devices, routing protocols, LAN/WAN environments and transports, network hardware and distribution facilities.
  • Experience with monitor process ISP, maintenance tasks, and do basic troubleshooting network devices, including WLAN, LAN switching, Routers, SDWAN devices, Voice /Video, and Cloud Operation.
  • Advanced level of English.
