Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager at Adient is responsible for establishing and implementing employee programs that foster a climate of trust, cooperation, and confidence. This role advises and assists in the evaluation and installation of compensation programs that are perceived as fair and equitable, consistent with the company's financials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advises the Plant Manager on employee-related matters that impact the effective and efficient operations of the plant.
  • Maintains harmonious relations between employees and plant management, disseminating management's position on appropriate matters to employees.
  • Measures and feeds back employee sentiments regarding the workplace, company programs, and other job-related matters.
  • Organizes and implements the recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of newly hired, transferred, or promoted employees.
  • Establishes and coordinates continuing performance review procedures as appropriate.
  • Assures compliance with all labor laws, wage and hour, affirmative action, and equal opportunity legislation.
  • Formulates and administers the plant employee relations and personnel program in accordance with Corporate and Group policies and procedures.
  • Develops plant operational policies and procedures that communicate management's desires and acquaint employees with internal procedures and benefits.
  • Establishes and maintains accurate personnel employment records that fulfill legal, corporate, and general business requirements.
  • Assures equitable, motivating wage and salary administration procedures.
  • Administers the company's various insurance and other benefit programs.
  • Ensures a safety and accident prevention program that involves educating employees, maintaining good housekeeping, and enforcing the use of safety equipment.
  • Ensures the Affirmative Action Plan is completed annually and puts plans in place to accomplish goals.
  • Maintains accurate reporting and monthly measurables.
  • Develops activities that promote positive employee relations and keeps special events planned to support good morale.
  • Has the responsibility and authority to stop production in the event of a quality or safety issue.
  • Performs all roles and responsibilities as defined by the BOS System Policies and Procedures.
  • Abides by all HSE&E requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or its equivalent.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years in Human Resources.
