Job Summary

Nissan Motor Iberica SA is seeking a highly skilled Costing Specialist to join our team. As a Costing Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Canadian Costing and Incentives Team in creating and administering their monthly programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Management: Actively manage and update central assumptions to the costing model (charge rate, RVs, MSRP, models and trims) on a timely basis.
  2. Sensitivity Analysis: Set up various costing files to conduct sensitivity analysis.
  3. Variance Explanation: Aggregate sensitivity analysis to create variance explanations for different programs, under different assumptions.
  4. Competitive Analysis: Conduct scenario analysis using monthly payments and competitive data (box scores) for the purposes of competitive analysis and discussion with the CMMs.
  5. Template Development: Prepare and update shared templates for competitive review and PRM discussions.
  6. Communication: Prepare memos and communications (monthly programs, program changes) to the dealer network, outlining the details of the C&I programs.
  7. Advertising Support: Prepare, update and validate advertised offers in the Advertising Summary, in conjunction with Regional Marketing, CMM and Sales.
  8. Special Projects: Assist in special projects as required i.e. data mining mainframe and data warehouse for creation of special reports, liaising with third party data providers, and preparation of executive presentation material.
  9. Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis support as required to management.
  10. Incentive Payment Processing: Prepare and execute monthly incentive payment system criteria averaging $20M per month (+$250M per year) by consolidating the results of various analysis and queries that require coordinating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  11. Audit Assistance: Support Senior Manager and Manager with audit requests from both internal and external auditors.
Requirements
  1. Interpersonal Skills: Collaboration, diplomacy, effective listening, organized, negotiation and presentation skills in establishing/communicating plans and programs to sales team, management and external contacts.
  2. Complexity and Problem-Solving: The incumbent in this position must have excellent decision-making skills with the ability to impact the company in a positive manner. Being able to deal with day-to-day office issues and having the ability to deal with sensitive information with diplomacy and in a professional manner is also important along with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  3. Physical and Sensory Demands: The sensory demands of this position are moderate. Visual demand is moderate to high when checking e-mails, reviewing incentive program offerings and completing monthly reports. Physical demands are limited and include frequent use of a computer.
  4. Decision-Making and Impact: Must be comfortable and confident in making decisions regarding the activities of the position such as drafting routine correspondence and handling sensitive and confidential information. Typically, errors in judgement or procedure can impact the company image and take time and effort to correct.
  5. People Management: Not applicable.
  6. Years of Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience.
  7. Education: University degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or equivalent experience is required.
  8. Specific Course/Certifications: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Working knowledge of relational databases, detailed-oriented and solid analytical skills. A passion for cars is an asset.
