Job Description

The Account Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving sales, identifying and generating opportunities for diverse types of customers. This position is responsible for fostering customer satisfaction through regular interactions and managing customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads by networking, cold calling, and researching various directories and internet sites.
  • Routinely interact face-to-face with customers to build strong relationships and maintain satisfaction.
  • Understand complex requirements from customers for preparation of customized quoting.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations and ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Assist with on-site troubleshooting of customers' concerns.
  • Work with and coordinate vendor resources to build relationships and support sales.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Increase revenue and profitability through generation of new business and further development of existing accounts.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Typically requires industry and sales experience.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proficient understanding of key sales principles and best practices.
  • Ability to influence customers while maintaining healthy relationships.
  • Ability to take initiative and work with limited direction.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time well.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of industrial products: power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial products.

Compensation and Benefits:

Motion Industries offers an excellent benefits package which includes options for healthcare coverage, 401(k), tuition reimbursement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay. The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
