About the Role:

The Lead Account Executive - Business Development plays a vital role in the acquisition, retention, and profitability of net new customers, or the growth of existing customers with low acquisition levels assigned to the managed territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key personnel in assigned merchant accounts and with key contacts within Global Payments' bank partners
  • Driving referrals from partners and managing these with agility
  • Responding to customer and prospect requests in a timely manner, addressing commercial process-related inquiries
  • Following up on the negotiation process and facilitating interaction with internal areas of Global Payments to maintain quality standards in the service
  • Staying up-to-date on the competitive landscape and positioning Global Payments' solutions in the market
  • Assisting and participating in the development and execution of marketing initiatives that highlight Global Payments' differences and strengths, providing continuous feedback to the management team
  • Representing Global Payments' values by incorporating the highest ethical and quality standards when working with all clients and prospects
  • Accessing and understanding account information, billing information, expected revenue, and transactions to define acquisition strategies within the territory
  • Managing accurate information about customers, updating regularly technological tools provided (CRM, performance indicators, etc.)
  • Making proactive calls and visits to customers or prospects to identify potential solutions that ensure the accomplishment of objectives

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the payments marketplace and Global Payments' comprehensive suite of solutions
  • Executive presentation and relationship-building skills to present solutions to customer management teams and above
  • Ability to solve problems and deliver results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
