Protein Sales Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director – Protein Processors & Innovators to join our team at Custom Culinary. This role requires a strong sales background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving business growth.
About the RoleIn this critical position, you will lead the development and implementation of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets aligned with our Long-Range Plan. Your expertise in managing sales teams, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and partners will be invaluable assets to our company.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with our overall business strategy, analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new sales opportunities and formulate effective sales plans.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, guidance, and support to maximize their potential. Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Achieve Annual Operating KPIs: revenue, profitability, and portfolio transformation. Monitor sales performance against targets, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Retention: Trigger Portfolio transformation aligned to the LRP and segment strategic posture. (Evolve a product to reach maturity, analyze the portfolio, and define its stage).
- Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations to expand the customer base with new poultry, meat, and seafood processors both locally and abroad.
- Penetration and Innovation: Lead the intentional use of core and new capabilities to deliver innovation, transform the portfolio, and improve profitability.
- Industry and Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Attend industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to gather market intelligence and identify potential business leads.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Food Engineering (desirable). An MBA is a plus.
- Ingredient experience
- 10+ years' experience in the Protein segment (meat, poultry, fish, and alternative proteins)
- Fully bilingual (English 100%)
- Travel: 40%
- BI Tools: CRM, Power BI, PP, Excel
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
