About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and part-time Customer Service Representative to join our team at MezTal. As a key member of our support team, you will be the first point of contact for customers who use our unique hardware product, which connects to TVs via HDMI and supports auto-play through HDMI-CEC technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Installation and Configuration: Assist new users with the correct installation of our hardware product.
  • Product Setup and Troubleshooting: Guide customers through product configuration and setup, and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and user experience.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries and provide introductory walkthroughs for new users.
  • Billing and Account Management: Handle billing and account-related questions, and collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
Requirements
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience, preferably in tech or hardware-related products.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users, and strong troubleshooting skills, particularly related to hardware, software, and network setups.
  • Soft Skills: Patient, empathetic, and detail-oriented.
Bonus Skills
  • HDMI and TV Setup: Familiarity with HDMI and TV setups, especially with HDMI-CEC technology.
  • Mobile and Web-Based Platforms: Experience with mobile and web-based platforms.
