The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our Customer Support and Training team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues, delivering high-quality training classes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and resolving customer complaints
- Deliver engaging and informative training classes, based on relevant engineering principles and industrial processes
- Conduct pre-sales consultations to identify business problems and articulate AspenTech's products as solutions
- Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and challenges
- Collaborate with other AspenTech functions to maintain and develop business opportunities
- Coach fellow team members to enhance their technical skills and contribute to team success
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering principles
- Knowledge and experience of chemical and manufacturing business processes in the refining, chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industries
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience, with university experience counting towards this requirement
- Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely, utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify opportunities that create value for customers, with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities, with occasional international travel
