About the Role

The Director of Sales and Revenue Growth will be responsible for leading the sales team in achieving revenue growth and maximizing direct revenue for the property. This role will oversee the development and implementation of sales strategies, manage sales staff, and collaborate with other departments to drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase direct revenue for the property
  • Manage and train sales staff to achieve revenue growth targets
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive revenue growth and maximize profits
  • Prepare and implement sales plans, forecasts, and budgets
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
  • Represent the hotel in sales and marketing initiatives
  • Supervise and administer the sales department to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
  • Meet or exceed established revenue growth targets
  • Operate the sales department within established expense budget
  • Coordinate sales efforts to maximize profits
  • Initiate and follow up on leads
  • Monitor production of top accounts and evaluate trends within said market
  • Coordinate non-group transient sales solicitations to maximize market mix
  • Administer training in the Sales department
  • Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and daily line ups
  • Review meeting planner evaluations to ensure problems are rectified
  • Devising or modifying procedures to solve process problems that result in more efficient operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of sales leadership experience in similar sized operation required, preferably in an upscale and/or lifestyle brand hotel or luxury resort
  • All-inclusive experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, catering sales, conference service and marketing management experience, guest relations and etiquette
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Basic understanding of legal contract language
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the company's values
  • A proficient understanding of Computer systems such as: Opera, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong team leader, natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
  • Combines analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
  • Solid understanding of local legal compliance requirements.
