About the Role

Amazon Web Services Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Provide timely and effective support to customers through various contact channels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
  • Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience, including developing tutorials, how-to videos, technical articles, and trainings.
  • Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with internal AWS teams to provide feedback on how to improve our services and work on critical, complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
  • Continuous Learning: Continuously learn and develop new technical skills and professional competencies to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as an interviewer in hiring processes and coach/mentor new team members to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with storage architectures and types, as well as content delivery networks and email/messaging services.
  • Knowledge or experience with system administration, and troubleshooting any operating system (Linux and/or Windows) and networking.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken) within technical and business settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Mathematics or related field.
  • Understanding of streaming video (H264, MP4, WEBM, HLS, Smooth Streaming), and video compression and delivery (codecs and containers, streaming protocols).
  • Detailed knowledge of storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and/or experience with any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience scripting or developing in one or more of the following languages: UNIX Shell, Python, R, Ruby, GO, Java,.NET (C#), JavaScript.
