We are a rapidly growing organization, and our People Team is scaling with us. We're looking for an experienced HR Operations Manager in Mexico who can help drive process improvements that support the employee experience.
Job Summary
This role will be responsible for developing policies and partnering cross-functionally to drive process and system improvements that will better the employee experience, increase the efficiency of the HR team, and ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of HR Generalist or HR Manager experience and strong knowledge of Mexico employment laws and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve our HR processes and policies in Mexico to ensure compliance with local statutes, efficiency, scalability, and alignment with our company values.
- Roll up your sleeves and dive into high-volume daily operational HR needs and ad-hoc projects for the Mexico team.
- Provide HR leadership to our teams on benefits, compliance, and other people programs.
- Stay up-to-date on HR laws and practices in Mexico, including payroll, benefits compliance, terminations, leave of absences, etc.
- Maintain compliance with Mexico employment law, including manager/employee trainings, workplace operations, classifications, and wage laws.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Finance, IT, Legal, Compliance teams, and other stakeholders to drive efficiencies and simplify workflows.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of HR Generalist or HR Manager experience.
- Exceptional collaboration and advisory skills, able to advise employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented, stellar organizational skills, and ability to prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of Mexico employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Mexico benefits and payroll processes.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to think outside the box and propose meaningful solutions.
- Able to identify gaps and drive operational improvements.
- Excellent judgment and discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Flexible mindset and able to navigate ambiguity with ease.
- Action-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
