Data and Devices Channel Field Sales Engineer at TE Connectivity: A Unique Opportunity to Unlock Growth in Latin America.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced field Sales Engineer (SE) to join our Data and Devices business unit in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for growing DND product sales through TE Connectivity's distribution channel. Your technical expertise and strong relationship-building skills will enable you to serve as a local technical resource for customer engineers, program/platform managers, distributor field application engineers, and sales teams.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Function as the primary point of contact between customers and our product management and engineering community, providing technical guidance on existing products and new development opportunities.
  2. Interact directly with customers to coordinate deliverables related to customer projects, including new products, modifications to existing products, product specifications, and other development efforts.
  3. Establish relationships with customer engineering contacts and decision-makers to drive growth and revenue.
  4. Collaborate closely with sister BU sales teams to broaden exposure and penetration of DND products into other BU direct customer designs, resulting in revenue through local territory CMs.
  5. Achieve a solid understanding of TE DND product portfolio and new product launch roadmap to inform sales strategies.
  6. Work with customers to understand their product sets and future roadmaps, identify opportunities to solve problems, and recommend products for new and existing applications.
  7. Influence distributor partner sales teams and FAEs to promote TE interconnect solutions above other potential solutions.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering or BA/BBA with a focus in Business, Management, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical field sales, preferably with experience working with Distribution (Channel).
  • Sales/Engineering experience in the connector industry is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, along with additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan matching, and professional development opportunities.
