**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Business Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, with a proven track record of increasing market penetration and aligning with third-party partners to achieve sales projects in the vertical of our business.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales to prospects and customers in assigned territories.
  • Build relationships with assigned agencies, integrators, and contractors for specification.
  • Support customers in specification activities and provide assistance in identifying new opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts as required and maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base.
  • Work with Marketing to develop project-specific specification strategies for assigned territories.
  • Make recommendations for continued growth and create leads for other sales leaders through specification.

**Requirements**

  • BA or BS Degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Five or more years of solid experience in sales-specific roles.
  • Strong Lighting Design Knowledge and ability to translate complex customer requirements into product or Current solution.
  • Able to build strong relationships based on being seen as the customer electrical consultant.
  • Capable of translating technical requirements into commercial solutions.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, ability to balance multiple priorities/deals at a time.
  • Strong Project-Based Selling experience.
  • Prior GE Lighting/Current cross-functional work experience a plus.
  • Lighting, Solar, or Digital industry experience.
  • Participation in industry events.
  • Training development and execution experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Current field sales roles and responsibilities.
  • Deep domain of electricity: able to understand basic electricity calculations, electricity consumption, and electricity designs.
