About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Regional Sales Manager for Siemens Energy, a leading company in the energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing sales activities in the allocated region.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will work on interesting and challenging opportunities in a highly motivated team. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Selling and account management activities
  • Face-to-face sales to new customers and cross/up/repeat sales to existing customers
  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions
  • Developing and delivering sales bids/proposals/presentations and conducting product demonstrations
  • Developing medium to long-term sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers
  • Selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners

What You Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A sound degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree
  • Extensive sales experience (+8 years preferred) with good knowledge in Siemens Energy products and specifically in Turbo machinery
  • Sound knowledge of the industries in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, specifically related to Power Generation, Sugar, and Ethanol
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to higher management, public groups, Executive staff, the Management Committee, and key client groups
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is necessary; fluency in Portuguese also will be good
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
  • Ability to travel mainly within Latin America and some intercontinental travel for up to or exceeding 40%
