Customer Innovation Specialist

The CUSTOMER INNOVATION SPECIALIST will play a pivotal role in driving customer success at Ingredion México, S.A. De C.V. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional technical support, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to develop and execute technical strategies that drive business development.
About the Role:
- Act as a technical liaison for selected accounts, providing exemplary customer technical support and strengthening customer relationships.
- Organize and coordinate visits to customers and visits from customers at Innovation Center Experience, including planning trials, portfolio presentations, trainings, workshops, innovation days, etc.
- Utilize laboratory and pilot plant equipment to conduct trials with customers to show performance of solutions.
- Review customer processes and formulations, making timely recommendations to meet customer needs for cost savings, texture/process improvements, or product innovation.
- Propose own ideas and utilize customer feedback for new concept development or improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, MKT, Idea Labs to develop and execute technical strategies that drive business development.
- Build strong relationships at multiple levels within customer organizations to foster collaboration and partnership.
- Record and share relevant customer activities and project updates in designated knowledge management tools to facilitate knowledge sharing and management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related degree.
- Strong understanding of food processing principles, ingredient functionality, and formulation.
- Experience in conducting trials and evaluations in laboratory, pilot & plant settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for customer visits and other business-related activities.
- Advanced English language proficiency.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer an estimated annual salary of $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Additional Information:
