Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our EABU (Electrical and Automotive Business Unit) production team in Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the continuous production and delivery of products to our customers, ensuring quality goals are met, and overseeing production costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the production process, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
- Develop and implement plans to increase productivity, enhance safety, and improve quality.
- Monitor and control production costs, ensuring they are within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and deviations.
- Plan and organize new project implementations, ensuring they meet customer and EABU requirements.
- Act as a project manager for new projects, coordinating with Dyson and EABU teams.
- Ensure compliance with EABU drawing standards and storage standards.
- Coordinate with Dyson engineers, project, procurement, and tooling teams to ensure all requirements are met.
- Manage the timeline, ensuring all related parties are followed up and tasks are completed on time.
- Escalate issues promptly, ensuring immediate forwarding of information within BizLink and Dyson or their contract manufacturer.
- Prepare samples for Dyson, ensuring they meet quality requirements and are delivered on time.
- Host weekly conferences with Dyson Malaysia, Dyson Mexico, and Flex Project Manager to ensure qualification timelines are on track and all testing, quality, and tooling issues are coordinated.
- Interact with existing EABU production sites for product design and process engineering, collecting information on necessary machines and ensuring equipment and tools are ordered in time.
- Collect product design and BOM input from other EABU sites and Central functions.
- Organize trips for the EABU Mexico team to learn and inspect existing equipment in China or Europe and get trained on this equipment.
- Contribute to new RFQs for production in Mexico by adding measured performance and cost data from existing Mexico production.
Requirements:
- Fluent English in speaking and writing, with Spanish/Mexican mother language.
- Technical background in engineering or production.
- Experience as a project or program manager in a quality-based managed style industry (automotive, electrical appliances, machine building).
- Ability to work in a multinational context, with openness for international business travel and learning.
