Employee Relations Overview
This position plays a vital role in supporting Amazon's employee relations team, focusing on ensuring fair, respectful, and consistent treatment of employees across the organization. Key responsibilities include site support activities that improve local and network employee relations, such as collecting and analyzing associate and manager feedback, partnering with site leadership and HR to identify and improve opportunities that affect the associate experience, and analyzing, diagnosing, and auditing people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of direct experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law, with a strong emphasis on labor and employee relations work, and experience in retail/manufacturing/distribution/call center environments with hourly employee populations.
Key Qualifications
• Education: Completed Bachelor's degree
• Experience: 7+ years direct experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
• Skills: Technically proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint, English & Spanish proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree; advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations
• Experience: Experience working in unionized settings, experience in designing and delivering successful training programs
• Skills: Team player with demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, excellent public speaker, strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner
