About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned E-Commerce Associate Director to lead our Ecommerce Sales Leadership team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for driving growth and scaling our Checkout Platform in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a senior team of Sales Team Managers and their teams of Sales Executives to scale the Checkout Platform in the market.
  • Develop the long-term vision and strategy for growing the team and scaling day-to-day operations.
  • Adopt and influence the company's sales methodology/process and drive best practices on selling and forecasting.
  • Lead internal teams to deliver results, especially the development of new solutions, improvements, and prioritizations.
  • Develop best practices that enable the organization to scale more rapidly to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth.
  • Proactively recommend payment solutions that support payment innovation and optimization.
  • Research emerging trends/best practices to determine implications of proposed payment solutions.
  • Stay updated on the digital payments landscape, such as mobile wallets, digital wallets, open banking, tokenization, and bank payments to identify potential partnerships.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes.
  • Relationships in the payments industry are important (suppliers, customers, and partners).
  • Monitoring and influencing industry-wide payments change activities and successfully managing those changes internally.
  • Write business cases for new initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues.
  • Structure complex agreements that include custom commercials, technical integrations, data protection, and privacy.
  • Engage with the largest strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships, and helping the team win new customers.
  • Help teams choose and sequence the best partners for our products.
  • Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics.
  • Ability to travel from 10%-30% depending on project status.
  • Partner cross-functionally across different teams (e.g., Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Account Management, SDR), regionally and globally.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • +15 years of payments experience in product, partnerships, and business development, or equivalent.
  • +8 years of experience with emphasis on B2B Sales, specifically building and managing External Channels and Partnerships to commercialize acquiring products/e-commerce platforms or solutions.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading and executing complex strategic and operational initiatives for organizations.
  • Experience with ambiguity and ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, business development, client relationship management, consulting services, and project management are required.
  • Self-directed, driven, and motivated with demonstrated analytical, negotiation, and business development skills.
  • Is mandatory experience within payments and e-commerce platform, checkout, plugin, API integrations, fintech, and/or financial service industries (at least +10 years).
  • Experience in Payments experience with digital merchants.
  • Understanding and experience in the Latam Markets.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers.
  • Experience with payments and technology products.
  • Experience working for an e-commerce platform.
  • Experience in hunting, sales methodology, sales process, funnel, and pipeline.
  • Experience of working with operations from scratch.
  • Experience in maintaining the most senior executive relationships at significant medium and large prospects and helping close those deals.
  • Data-driven in making decisions, setting goals, and driving success in the organization while embracing 'hands-on' sales and qualitative success metrics.
  • Creativity to work in complex scenarios.
  • Excels at developing business strategies and ensuring flawless execution.
