Job Overview
Avery Dennison is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for endpoint computing and site infrastructure, acting as a local 'smart hand' (on-call support), and continuously improving technology and processes.
About the Job
- You will manage and support endpoint devices throughout their lifecycle, including provisioning, refresh, asset management, and decommissioning.
- You will adhere to and promote IT policies and standards.
- You will provide 'smart-hand' support at the site, including on-call duties (according to a rotation schedule).
- You will follow ITIL processes, such as change, incident, and problem management.
- You will comply with SOX controls and take ownership of reported issues until resolution.
- You will research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve issues.
- You will provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
- You will serve as a technical advisor to management and end-users to ensure they have the necessary IT equipment to be successful.
- You will maintain accurate IT equipment, software, and license inventory in Asset Management Tool.
- You will install, upgrade, and replace selected software and hardware products according to Avery Dennison standards.
- You will collaborate with service vendors, other Avery Dennison IT teams, and personnel to ensure continuity of service.
- You will assist in implementing best practices and Avery Dennison IT standards to optimize IT resource utilization.
- You will deliver training on Avery Dennison's software and computer systems, including group presentations, one-on-one training, and onboarding.
- You will perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- You should have a Bachelor's degree in a business or technology field (preferred).
- You should have at least 3 years of related experience.
- You should have 3-5 years of experience with routine software installations and program updates.
- You should have 3-5 years of experience with routine troubleshooting and problem resolution on computer, server, network, and telecommunication systems.
- You should have understanding and experience with information systems environments and systems, as well as applicable computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and function-specific software).
- You should have basic understanding of ICT infrastructure.
- You should have good verbal, data entry, and written skills; communicative in speaking and writing in both the local language and English.
- You should be flexible, initiative-driven, self-motivated, and creative in finding solutions.
- You should be a team player with independent working abilities.
- You should have ability to interface with cross-functional groups to define and execute overall requirements.
- You should have experience working effectively with others and providing superior customer service.
- You should be skilled at solving challenges in a directed, methodical manner and analyzing current issues to envision creative solutions.
- You should take initiative to complete critical tasks, especially in team settings with dependencies on other people.
- You should work effectively in the face of stress, ambiguity, difficult situations, and shifting priorities.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly valued.
- ITIL foundation training is an asset.
- You should be able to travel to support other sites when needed (estimated 20% travel).
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
