About the Role

The Business Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for driving results through the effective management of a professional team or department. This role oversees the overall administrative activities of Markets Products, including financial follow-ups, internal and external audits, business continuity activities, and addressing regulatory issues.

Responsibilities
  • Internal & External Review Management: Timely support reviews and examinations processes, manage all applicable Internal Audit issues according to policy, and maintain up-to-date ratings.
  • Issue Management Performance: Ensure all applicable issues are registered and managed according to policy, support Business to meet OTR commitment, and oversee and follow up on all issues related to Markets Mexico.
  • Policy Compliance Management: Assist Business in implementing policies and guidelines, oversee and time-escalate Governance and Management forums.
  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Support Business in reflecting regulations according to policy, assist with implementing regulatory initiatives and changes, and oversee and follow up on all implementations, ensuring timely escalation.
  • Partner with local and regional business management teams to ensure alignment of business goals.
  • Manage a team by providing technical knowledge, coaching, evaluation, determining hiring, etc.
  • Assist leadership and stakeholders in developing projects, determining strategies, and defining/providing metrics.
  • Risk & Control: Advance control framework, executing Manager's Control Assessment testing, operational loss processes, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare materials, record minutes, and follow up as needed on items for business committees and/or regular business meetings.
  • Seek out sources, track, consolidate, and analyze ad-hoc and regular business requests.
  • Drive implementation of business-driven projects across functions, working closely with relevant senior leadership.
  • Provide input into and recommend technology change, process improvements, and control framework enhancements.
  • Seek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control-related issues and remedial action is taken.
  • Communicate business knowledge, product knowledge, and requirements to business and internal support functions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of experience in financial markets business or business support.
  • Experience with foreign exchange and/or interest rate products preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Estimated Salary Range

$120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and experience.
